I had originally planned to only use News Break for the first three months, because I didn't feel I'd be able to hustle enough followers/views to make any money after that. But with the new three-month deal that at least gives us a base pay per article, I think I'll stick around for a bit. As far as the CV, it is nice to get some feedback. My regurgitated Medium stuff didn't do that well on the points scale EXCEPT one article that I updated with more of a local slant and somehow was given a 9. That said, it hardly got any views, so after the initial three months, that 9 wouldn't be of much use! Everything else was in the 1-4 range, I think.

Bottom line is that I'm going to keep writing my personal essay stuff on Medium, and try for more newsy, local content on News Break. I think it will give me a forum to experiment with a different style of writing, something I've been wanting to try anyway.
