I love savory oatmeal! And savory breakfasts in general. This was one of my favorite meals at the cafe in my office building (back when I was going to the office, that is). They always had a pot of oatmeal going, so I'd put it in a bowl and stir in some shredded cheddar, and then have them saute up some spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes plus an over-easy egg and dump it all on top. So good!
