Oh boy. This really resonates with me. My fibromyalgia, which appeared when I was only 13, was pretty much a direct result of pushing myself way too hard preparing for a piano master class. And I believe my eating disorder, creeping up over decades but finally punching me full on in the face a year ago, came to fruition because I stubbornly wouldn’t listen to my own body and mind. I’m not sure what the aortic aneurysm is supposed to teach me yet, but I’m planning to find out! Thanks again for sharing your story, Gillian.
