The only “in real life” person who has read my Medium work is my sister. I haven’t even shown my husband! In fact, even though I’m respecting his privacy by not laying bare our relationship online, he’s the one I’m most worried about. That feels so strange to me — that I’m terrified to show my best friend in the whole world something that’s so important to me. I think I really am afraid he won’t think I’m any good. I guess I just want to keep it to myself, for now.
