Yep, I agree. I was taken aback by how horrid I felt when I didn't receive the bonus (not the first one, not a single one since, not even the lower-tier amounts) and I did briefly entertain thoughts of parlaying that into a story about dealing with feelings of rejection but ultimately decided I didn't want to dwell there. And if I do write that story someday, I can do so without talking about Medium bonuses. There are plenty of rejection points in my life that I can happily draw upon for inspiration.🤣

That said, I hated most of the "whoo hoo, I got the bonus" stories even more. Some were good, even helpful, but most just filled me with ire.
